Find out more about missing teen Andrew Gosden and other missing children here
14-year-old Andrew Gosden went missing from his home in Doncaster four weeks ago. If you have a sighting or information about Andrew Gosden, please call us confidentially on Freefone 0500 700 700 or email seensomeone@missingpeople.org.uk The super-bright pupil, who is heading for a string of A* GCSEs, took more than £200 from his bank account and was spotted heading to London on a train. Get in touch plea
A worried father today appealed to his missing teenage son to get in touch - a month after he vanished. Andrew disappeared on September 14th after failing to turn up at school in Doncaster, South Yorkshire.
There have been various possible sightings of him in areas of the capital, but he has failed to get in contact with family or friends.
His father, Kevin, 41, said: "We still believe he is in London but we have had absolutely no contact with him whatsoever. I spent last weekend in London distributing leaflets and visiting places where he might be.'' "A lot of my family live in London. It's familiar to him. It's a big exciting place. Because we have no clear or proven sightings of him it is very difficult to know where to look.''
However, Mr Gosden said his son seemed happy with his life with no obvious problems.
"The night before he went I spent about an hour-and-a-half playing a game with him and chatting about school. There was nothing to suggest he was unhappy.'' Message to Andrew
Mr Gosden said his message to his son was simple: "Please get in touch. We love you, we care about you desperately. Please let us know you are ok.''
South Yorkshire Police has appealed for help in tracing the youngster, who is a member of a Government programme designed to stretch the top 5% of pupils.
Andrew's mother, Glenys, 43, and sister, Charlotte, 16, have also been down in London trying to chase up the leads and sightings passed on by police.
Andrew, who is 5ft 3in, of slim build with straight brown hair, is believed to be wearing a black top, black jeans, trainers and was carrying a black bag with patches of rock bands on.
Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police on 0114 220 2020.

Possible sighting of missing boy
MISSING: Andrew Gosden
THE FEARFUL family of run-away teen Andrew Gosden are hoping a media frenzy may help throw some light on the whearabouts of their son - amid reports of a possible sighting in Wales.
Kevin and Glenys Gosden, of Littlemoor Lane in Balby, were thrust into the national spotlight this week when they appeared on breakfast television to talk about their missing 14-year-old - a broadcast believed to have reaped several new leads in the search for Andrew.
The pair have also spoken to government officials prior to a parliamentary hearing on the topic of missing persons, while also remaining in constant dialogue with the police.
"It's completely surreal," said Mr Gosden, of the media interest. "You never expect anything like it in your life - it just seems absolutely crazy.
"You just hope it's going to be effective because we've got little else to go on."
Police last Thursday retrieved cctv footage of Andrew leaving Kings Cross Station on September 14 - the day he went missing from Doncaster. But Mr Gosden, who returned home from London yesterday, is now focussed on the future after hearing about possible sightings in Guildford and as far afield as Wales.
"All this cctv picture(from September 14] tells us is what t-shirt he had on at the time - it doesn't give us any clues where he went after," he said.
"We're wondering now whether he has had the means to get further afield than London but we don't know until it has been checked out.
"We (the family] are really tired at the moment," he added. "In one respect it doesn't give you much time to dwell on it because you are active.
"But obviously we'd still very much like to see him back, or at the very least get a phone call from him."
Anyone with information about Andrew's whereabouts should contact South Yorkshire Police on 01142 20 20 20.

Prayers for Andrew
PRAYERS are being said in churches up and down the country for Doncaster's missing boy, according to the teenager's despairing father.
Kevin Gosden, of Littlemoor Lane in Balby, attended a special vigil at St James' Church on St Sepulchre Gate West with his wife Glenys last night as the wait for news about their son went on - six weeks since bright spark Andrew went missing.
And although he admitted the 14-year-old's absence was getting harder to deal with by the day, Mr Gosden took heart from the ongoing comfort provided by the religious community.
"It's a great support to us - very much so," he said. "There's quite a few churches around the country praying for us now on a regular basis.
"It's a real encouragement and it helps us to get a bit of perspective."
The Gosden's were thrust into a national television studio last week to discuss the trauma they have endured ever since Andrew, a member of the National Association of Gifted and Talented Youth, left home on September 14 - the same day his image was captured on closed circuit television leaving Kings Cross Station in London.
But the family are now no further forward in their search for more positive news.
"It's been a bit more bleak this week," said Mr Gosden. "It's been quieter and there's been less to occupy our minds and more time to reflect.
"Unfortunately we don't have any more concrete news," he added. "There have been a lot of possible sightings - but we have to face the possibility that they are just similar looking lads and that Andrew could not be around to be sighted."
Anyone with information about Andrew's whereabouts should contact South Yorkshire Police on 01142 20 20 20.

Mother searches for missing son

Andrew took £200 from his bank before disappearing
|
The mother of a gifted teenager from South Yorkshire who went missing two weeks ago is in London appealing for help in finding him.
Andrew Gosden, 14, disappeared on 14 September after failing to turn up at his school in Doncaster.
The teenager was seen heading to London by train and there have been sightings of him in parts of the city including Waterloo and Oxford Street.
His mother Glenys said the family was baffled by his disappearance.
She and Andrew's sister Charlotte, 16, have been putting up posters around the attractions in London which he knew.
The youngster, who is a member of a school programme involving the most academically gifted 5% of pupils, took more than £200 from his bank account before vanishing.
Mrs Gosden, 43, said Andrew knows London as they have relatives in the city and visit regularly.
"We are fairly sure he has come to London because it is one of his favourite places," she said.
"He is the kind of boy who likes museums and science and maths things."
Appealing for him to get in touch, she said: "If there is anything troubling you that we don't know about, it is not too big that we can't sort it out.
"Please come home. Pick up a phone, give us a ring. Please get in touch."
