Background

On October 29, 2006, at approximately 2:30AM, my 21-year old son, David D. Potts II, and two of his friends were involved in an automobile accident that took place on the Highway 70 Blanchette Bridge which leads from St. Louis County Missouri to St. Charles County Missouri. The incident took place in the westbound lanes. David has not been seen or heard from since.
St. Ann Police chased the boys through St. Louis County and onto the westbound lanes of the Hwy 70 Blanchette Bridge. The Missouri State Patrol witnessed the pursuit at the Earth City Expressway interchange (the last exit before the bridge). Crossing the bridge the boys spun out of control, crashing and destroying the vehicle. On foot, David ran from the vehicle, heading east in the westbound lanes. As the State Patrolman approached in his vehicle, David “turned, went to the edge of the bridge, over the railing and onto the cat walk and disappeared under the bridge”. St. Ann Police say that they did not hear a scream or a splash, and therefore saw no reason to call out any search teams to search the river.
One week after his disappearance, his parents put together a search on the Missouri River and both banks. There was no evidence of David at all, no shoe prints, no articles of clothing, nothing. David left his parents house on October 28, 2006 at 9:15PM. He never picked up his last 2 paychecks, nor has his bank accounts been touched; no letters, E-mails, phone calls, nothing.
Any information and anyone wishing to help would be greatly appreciated.
