Sammy Osborn was groomed at the beginning of 2007 by David Manning of Fishponds Road in Bristol.

Up until that point she had been a normal loving girl,a typical teenager from a happy family home.

The police in Bristol admit that Sammy is not safe.

Social services admit that David Manning is a risk.

As far as we know she has not been seen officially since mid November 2007.
THis is the reason that this page has been re-listed on this site.
PLEASE someone help us to ensure her safety.

She was last seen at around 4.00pm on Tuesday April 3rd leaving her home in Buckingham carrying a light rucksack.

Items
She was wearing a light padded jacket and blue jeans when she was last seen. She was also belived to be wearing 2 rings, one on each hand, the one on her left containing a large white stone

CASE LEADS:
  • It is thought that Sammy may have gone to the local hospital according to a sighting by a local policeman - however this has NEVER been confirmed.

  • All leads of her friends and contacts in Buckinghamshire have been exhausted according to Thames Valley Police, but the search is continuing into other areas where she is known to have contacts, including BRISTOL and SOUTH WALES.

  • Sammy was known to have been aquainted with a male "friend" from the Bristol Area prior to her dissappearance.

  • Samantha has ASTHMA and family are worried whether she has appropriate medication, such as an inhaler, and ANY CHEMISTS who may have been approached by her are asked to please contact the police.

  • Her family also do not believe she has access to money.
Her bank account has not been used since the day she dissappeared.

  • However, no confirmed sightings exist and Sammy could possibly be ANYWHERE in the UK - please look out for this child.

LATEST INFORMATION:
  • Sammy had been chatting on line with a 20 year old man from Bristol since late last year

  • Against her parents wishes Sammy travelled to South Wales and Bristol with this person in early FEBRUARY 2007 before being brought back home by the police.

  • She was still in contact with this person right up to her dissappearance

  • Anyone that may have seen them together - either in February or more recent please contact Thames Valley Police on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

MORE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Sammy was also into the beliefs of Wicca - a nature-based religion found in various countries throughout the world.

  • She had from around Aug 2006 to Dec 2006 build the following site discussing the Wiccan culture and beliefs :

  • Although Sammy had lost interest in this since the arrival of "the boyfriend" she was known to be in touch with other Wiccans in a number of places including the South coast of England

  • It is possible that she may have seeked refuge from one of these friends.

NEW INFORMATION:
  • Although Sammy left behind her mobile phone, "the boyfriend" had supplied a number of different phones to her prior to April.

  • The last confirmed online message Sammy posted was in MARCH

  • If ANYONE has received ANY messages since MARCH please get in touch with the Police at the numbers below.

Sammy's story as told by her Mother

It was a Tuesday during the Easter school holidays when I heard her stomp downstairs and out of the front door at 4pm. We thought she'd just popped out to see a friend and were pleased she'd prised herself away from the computer screen.

But that evening she didn't come home. I stood by the window looking out for her and even rang round her friends to ask if they'd seen her. None had.

Sammy clearly hadn't planned to run away. She had only the clothes she stood up in - jeans, a pink T-shirt and a white puffa jacket - plus a drawstring bag with her purse and inhaler. She'd also left her mobile phone, toothbrush and passport behind.

The next day dawned and she still wasn't home. Bob and I were desperately worried.

Jack was angry with her at first but, as the days turned into a week, he became worried too. Especially when the police took her toothbrush away for a DNA sample.

After two weeks she officially became a missing person and hospitals and mortuaries were put on alert.

I was numb with shock and cried constantly. It was hard to understand how she could vanish so completely. No one had seen her. She hadn't contacted any family or friends. Her debit card was in her purse but she hadn't withdrawn a penny.

The police took away her computer to see if it held any clues. They discovered she'd been talking to people in the West Country, and soon all kinds of scenarios began playing over and over in my mind.

She didn't seem to have run away so we had to suppose she'd gone to meet someone - probably one of her internet friends. But that brings its own nightmares and soon we feared she was being held against her will.

Jack sent messages to Sammy's email address asking, "Are you alive?" But there was never any reply.

Constantly waiting, I couldn't sleep, couldn't remember what day it was and didn't eat, losing two stone.

And yet, despite the awfulness of the situation, life had to go on because there was Jack to consider. He was back at school with teachers keeping an eye on him, while Bob and I returned to work because the mortgage had to be paid.

Sammy is 15, but she's not streetwise. She comes from a sheltered environment in a small town where nothing bad ever happens. Now she's gone and we're scared she's been abducted.

Despite being caring and protective parents, we were powerless to stop it and feel totally helpless. Now, from being someone who knew very little about the cyber world, I've become an expert. I surf the internet for hours as I desperately search for clues, and a friend has set up www.findsammyosborn.co.uk

But I'm so scared that she's being held captive and just can't get back to us.

Her brother Jack has even made a film about her which he has posted on YouTube called "Help Find Samantha Osborn".

The whole family are exhausted with grief. Unless someone has a missing child themselves, it is impossible to understand the emptiness, devastation and guilt we feel for not being able to protect our daughter.

Although the police tell us it's good news because no body has been found, it's tough getting on with our lives. We will never be the same people we were until Sammy comes back home.'

Sammy Osborn Found in Fishponds, Bristol with "Internet Boyfriend"

The official word from Gill Osborn and family :

"The Osborn family would like to thank friends, family and supporters who have stood by them during the last 6 months

Samantha has been found safe and well at the home of the Bristol man who was arrested earlier this year on sexual grooming offences

Allegations made by this person are totally untrue and are apparantly typical behaviour from someone responsible for sexual grooming

The family have sought legal advice and the person concerned will be prosecuted for his actions"

Update: Samantha Osborn

Tuesday, 25 September 2007

Issued: Tuesday, 25 September 2007, 13:04:32

Update: Samantha Osborn

“Police are still looking for Samantha Osborn, a 16-year-old (15 at the time of her disappearance) from Buckingham who was reported missing from her family home by her parents on 3 April.

“Samantha has not been heard of or seen by any family members or friends since then.

“Although Samantha had been reported missing on a number of previous occasions this year, she had always returned.

“A police investigation began immediately Samantha was reported missing and it became apparent that her disappearance was linked to her use of the internet. She had begun a friendship with a man in his early 20’s from the south west who she had met through a website.

“Her previous disappearances were also linked to the same website and friendship with the same man. He was arrested in early April on suspicion of committing offences of Sexual Grooming and Harassment.
The Crown Prosecution Service has reviewed the case papers submitted by the police in relation to this matter but at this stage indicated that there was no evidence to support proceedings. The man was then released from police bail.

“Since then, a number of websites have been used to offer support to Samantha’s parents and assist in the attempts to find her. However, a series of blogs on some of these sites state that Samantha went missing on purpose as a result of being physically and mentally abused by her parents over time.

“Thames Valley Police have been in constant contact with the Osborn family from the time Samantha went missing and have found nothing to substantiate any allegations made by any third party that Samantha was the victim of any form of abuse. Anyone who believes they have evidence to the contrary is invited to contact Thames Valley Police.”

Missing girl’s 16th birthday prompts fresh appeal from EMCOR to find her

On the week of her sixteenth birthday, a fresh appeal has been launched to find Samantha Osborn who has been missing now for over five months.  The Buckinghamshire teenager who celebrates her birthday on Saturday (22 September), has been revealed as the next child to be featured in the national missing children’s poster campaign led by facilities management company, EMCOR Group (UK),
the Police National Missing Persons Bureau and children’s charity PACT.

Samantha was last seen by her family on Tuesday 3 April when she left her home in Buckingham.  She was then seen at Buckingham Cottage Hospital after suffering from breathing difficulties due to her asthma condition.   It is thought that Samantha may be with someone she met via the internet, having spent a lot of her time on a popular social networking site.

Samantha has brown straight hair, is approximately 5'2'' tall, is of slim build and has a surgical scar through her left eyebrow. When she was last seen she was wearing a white puffa jacket, blue jeans and white trainers. Samantha is very bright and loves to read and her family believe she may be spending time in libraries or book shops.

Both the police and Samantha’s family are desperate to find Samantha in time for her to celebrate her 16th birthday at home.  Samantha’s mother, Gill Osborn, said:
“We are all very worried about the safety and well being of Sammy.  We miss her terribly and long for the day that she comes home.  Sammy's 14 year old brother Jack is totally lost without her and her friends from school have launched an internet campaign to help find her, posting messages to people all over the country.

“We desperately want Sammy to come home so we can celebrate her special birthday together as a family.”

DI Vince Grey, from Thames Valley Police, leading the investigation, said

“We initially concentrated our search in South West and Wales, particularly the Bristol area, following our knowledge about her relationship with somebody she met online. However, it’s very possible she may have moved around and therefore we ask that anyone with any information relating to Samantha’s disappearance to contact us.”

EMCOR’s Taking KidSafety to the StreetTM campaign was launched in the UK in October 2006 following the success of EMCOR Group Inc.’s work with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the US which has helped to recover 62 children so far.  The programme is designed to help the police find up to 100,000 children who go missing in the UK each year - approximately, one child every five minutes.

Samantha’s poster will be the fourth poster to be featured in the programme, which since launch, has seen two of the children featured in the poster campaign – ten year old Emanuella Martinovic and fifteen year old Sasha McLeish – recovered safe and well.

Members of the public are urged to look out for the posters displayed on EMCOR’s fleet of vans across the country as part of the Taking KidSafety to the StreetTM programme, and visit the Missing Kids website www.missingkids.co.uk  calling the police on the free-phone number 0808 100 8777 with any information they may have on Samantha or any other child featured on the website.

Missing Kids car stickers are available via EMCOR free of charge, please call

The Missing Kids website was originally created in the USA by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). It was introduced to England, Wales and Northern Ireland in June 2000, and to Scotland in June 2004. The site is managed by the Police National Missing Persons Bureau (PNMPB), and by a number of police forces.

The UK Missing Kids Website is the only site of this kind which is approved by the Home Office, ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers) and ACPO(S) (Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland).
Only the police can enter information on the UK site.

The Missing Kids Website has been introduced to 16 countries and more are joining every year. The latest country to join was the Republic of Ireland.

PACT
PACT is an international, non-profit organisation, registered in the USA and the UK.  It was founded in 2000 by Lady Meyer, wife of the then British Ambassador to the United States. Its patrons are Cherie Blair, wife of the British Prime Minister, and Laura Bush, First Lady of the United States.

PACT’s initial mission was to fight parental child abduction across frontiers by raising awareness of a growing, but little-known, problem and by advocating solutions.

The Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO)
ACPO is an independent, professionally led strategic body. In the public interest and, in equal and active partnership with Government and the Association of Police Authorities, ACPO leads and coordinates the direction and development of the police service in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In times of national need ACPO, on behalf of all chief officers, coordinates the strategic policing response.

The Association supports the philosophy of strong local policing, and believes that must be maintained within the tripartite framework of policing which brings together the local Chief Constable, the local Police Authority and the Home Secretary.

But the nature of modern crime, with an increasingly international dimension, and the ever present need to use public resources to best effect, places a voluntary duty on forces to work together, employing common policies, strategies and methods wherever possible.

Police National Missing Persons Bureau
The Police National Missing Persons Bureau is a specialist police unit which acts as a centre for the exchange of information connected with the search for missing persons both nationally and internationally. It is based at New Scotland Yard and serves UK Forces and overseas agencies. It focuses on cross-matching missing persons with unidentified bodies/persons.

The PNMPB is located at New Scotland Yard and functions as the central clearing house for information on missing persons. The PNMPB serves UK Forces and overseas agencies.

The PNMPB offers advice in relation to information available from government and non-government agencies, which may be of assistance in missing person or unidentified body/persons enquiries. It is not responsible for conducting any missing persons enquiries.

The Bureau has contacts with most government departments and also the primary non-governmental organisations and charities that deal with missing persons.

The PNMPB has a quality control and liaison function in respect of all cases placed on the website. It is also the central point of contact for all cases featured on posters.

Mum to Sammy - from Mirror Forum Posting

Sammy

I was thinking how to express my love for you in a way that only you and I would understand,

Do you remember the day we took Splodge to the vets, how she climbed up you and clung to you, hanging on for dear life, that bond, that knowledge that you would keep her safe.

I guess what I'm trying to say Sammy is that whatever has happened, wherever you are,I'm still here.
I'm here for when you're ready to make that move, that bond is still as strong as ever,my arms are always open, just come running and I'll be here for you.

Whether that day is today, tomorrow, next week or next year it doesn't matter. The love, the bond will always be there,no-one can break it,they may think that they can with lies, tricks, false allegations, but that special bond is stronger than any of HIS antics,

I love you Sammy

TO THE PERSON WHO KNOWS WHAT HAPPENED TO SAMMY

10th september 2007

You know who you are,you probably watch this forum and get a kick from it.
I sincerely hope you are pleased with yourself,
Personally I couldn't live with myself, but then you and I are very different,
Our family has always been very caring and loving,
We have always taken pride in supporting others,

You have the power to make or break Jack's birthday,
It's not long now,just over a week,
Do you know how much hurt this has caused him?
I don't suppose you care!
Not just one life in ruins, there are many,
So many people reduced to tears when they think of Sammy,
That loving caring girl from down our street,
The girl from school,
The girl from brownies,
The girl who was always smiling and happy,

Your choice, your decission, you know who you are!!!!!!!!

Appeal to Sammy from her Mother

6th September 2007

Sammy

I don't know if you ever look at this forum,I don't even know if you have access to a computer but just in case this is to you;

Jack and your mates went back to school today,Jack looks so grown up,the goth look this term. His hair is dyed jet black and nearly as long as yours was the last time I saw you.He has grown so much,he towers above me and is catching up with Dad.

He may look grown up and confident but inside his stomach was churning today,he knew that you should have been there with him, moaning about the teachers, larking about as you always used to.

I'm off to collect Jack's birthday pressie this morning,I need to buy yours, what should I get you,any suggestions?
Your card is here already from Nan and Grandad,I need to put it in your room. There is a huge problem there,I have a thing about your room.

I try to go in and dust,I take a deep breath, open the door and then chicken out.
Floppy rabbit, velvet bear and friends still sit on your bed,I want to hug them but something is telling me no.It's as though I don't belong in your life anymore,I have no right to be there,I just wish so much someone could explain what has happened.

Someone knows

If you are still alive, then more than one person knows, they must do

Sammy,so much has changed, but the one thing that remains as true as ever is the love that we all have for you. That is one thing that no one can take away from us,no matter how hard they try.

Things may have been said and done, but none of that matters anymore,we just need to know that you are safe.

Sammy we love you

Sammy's Mother Gill's Bebo Blog (Latest Entry First)

Tuesday 18th September 168 days 24 weeks
It's now been 24 weeks

It's realy cold outside and I can't help wondering if Sammy is warm enough,is she in a house or on the streets:?

A whole summer has gone,a summer that has been ruined by one persons actions,it amazes me how one man can cause so much heartache, ruin so many lives.

I wish I could warn the whole country about him,it's not as though this is the first time he has tried this evil little game, and judging by the messages he has sent since it won't be that last.

Jack's birthday has been and gone,no card or phone call from his sister.

People have bought cards for Sammy,I've plucked up the courage to put them in her room,I still feel sick going in there.

Sammy if you are reading this today,PLEASE just pick up the phone, let someone know you're alive. We love you, whatever has happened,no matter what he did to us,that love will always be there. x x x x x

Saturday 15th September

It's Jack's party weekend 14 years old,it doesn't seem possible, but then it doesn't seem possible that Sammy has now been missing for 165 days.

I can't help feeling a huge amount on animosity towards the "BOYFRIEND", If it was a genuine relationship would he have caused so much hurt,so much heartache,it just doesn't seem right.

He threatened so many friends

Spent up to 17 hours at a time on the phone, telling her what to do

Repeatedly supplied mobile phones so that conversations could not be monitored by the police

Made strings of false allegations against her family, even though the police know they didn't happen

Showered her with gifts, then threatened to commit suicide because she didn't phone him on time, not once but on at least 3 occasions

Supplied her with a huge stash of paracetamol so that she could kill herself

And despite Sammy being missing from home for nearly 6 months he hasn't once attempted to contact the family,in fact when we wrote to him asking him to pass a message onto Sammy all he did was make a complaint against us

We are worried sick about Sammy's safety, her health and wellbeing, and yet the one person who might be able to help us remains silent

Sammy,
We don't blame you for any of this,if you're happy and safe then that's great, but please let us know because until we get that phone call we can never move on,we will live in eternal limbo, not knowing if you are dead or alive

Whatever has happened we will never stop loving you

Sammy

13th September 2007

So many things go through my mind, are you out there having fun?
are you hurt and in need of help?
or worse?

If only you could let us know, perhaps you can't,perhaps you don't want to.

There will be huge press coverage next week,

On Monday Scotland Yard,EMCOR and PACT are issuing a press release, this links up to your photo going onto 500 vans.

I keep wondering what you must be thinking,so much fame for such a shy girl.

On Tuesday your details will be published in Woman Magazine,

I wonder what the b/f thinks to all this press coverage.

On Wednesday the tv crews are coming round the house again, along with all your school friends,

If you don't want to come home why don't you just tell someone.
If you can't get home, why have you not been seen.
If HE knows, why is he keeping quiet.

Sammy we all love you so much, but we are worried sick,it's Jack's birthday on Monday, will he get a birthday card???????

birthday wishes
9th September 2007
It's now less than 2 weeks until Sammy's birthday.
Her pressies are wrapped and in her bedroom ( yes
I did manage to go in there!)
I have posted a card to her last known address,
That's the house in Bristol,I don't know if she's there,
Perhaps the occupants will forward it for me,
Perhaps that's wishful thinking.

daddy-long-legs
7th September 2007
As I chased a daddy-long-legs around the house yesterday I was thinking about where you were.
Do you still hate them?
They used to drive you mad this time of year,
Long-legs and moths, how many hours did I spend getting them out of your bedroom?
So much has changed and yet so many things remain the same.
There is still a photo of you and Spotty on your windowsill,in fact most of the photos I find show you with one rabbit or another.
You have always been so loving and caring, perhaps that's where things went wrong.
I was sat looking at a photo of you with Flip-Flop,scary stuff!!
You were the only person who could go near her without being bitten,God she scared me to death, but you loved her so much.

This is why nothing makes sense, for someone who has always been so loving and caring, why have you not phoned us to say you're ok.Perhaps you have started a new life,if so why can't you let us know,it may not make sense but at least we would know you're alive.
My thoughts are dark,I try to stay possitive,I so much need you to be ok,to be happy, but I'm scared, scared and confused.......

If people know where you are,why don't they tell us you're alive, why do they torture us so much?
Worried
6th September 2007

Sammy
I'm so worried about you,
I went shopping today, your special shop has closed,The Natural World.I was hoping to get your birthday pressie,it wasn't a good idea,in my mind I just kept worrying about you.

So many people have come up with theories as to what has happened to you, mediums, tarot readers, friends and family, they all have their ideas.

No matter what people say,I'm scared,VERY SCARED.

The thing is Sammy, whatever has happened we will still love you,no-one can change that fact.Someone has been trying to make our lives very difficult, trying to tear our family appart,he may think he has won but he is wrong VERY WRONG.

Whatever has happened there is always a place for you here, the past is the past,we blame you you for NOTHING,we know who is responsible and that person is NOT you.

I'm never giving up on you Sammy, things will never be the same, but the love we all have for you is something no-one can take away.

I love you Sammy
Mum x x x x x x

Tuesday 4th Sept 154 days

Another dark day

It's chilly outside,I wonder if Sammy is warm enough.

Jack goes back to school on Thursday, will he ever see his sister again?

Birthday sleepover season, tents in the garden soon,it used to be 2 weekends running, will this year just be for Jack?

Nan has left Sammy a birthday card,I don't know what to do with it,leave it here to gather dust or post it to the 'boyfriend'

Will he be sat in tears on her birthday, somehow I doubt it!

I think back to when Sammy dissappeared, the police say she was being mentally controlled, social services say she was a suicide risk, her Dad said she had been brainwashed, her Brother was scared.I don't know what I thought,I just cried.

Someone has split our family,he knows who he is,he knows why he did it.If it wasn't for him Sammy would still be here where she belongs.

I really hope that Sammy is safe and happy,
I will never be a peace,I will never understand that for 22 long weeks at least one person has been keeping information from us.If Sammy is safe and happy out there someone must have seen her, someone must be hiding her,she couldn't be alone, not for all this time.

It's not just her immediate family who are going through hell, there are so many other who are deeply affected by this whole situation.
Other people who have seen Sammy manipulated into a different life by someone who likes to get his own way.

My love goes out to Sammy wherever she is,
My sympathy to those sick people out there who think they can rise above the law, ruin people's lives and at the same time get a kick out of it.

the boyfriend

Sat 1st Sept 2007

Up until 2nd April this year Sammy was in a relationship with a man she met on the internet, apparently he hasn't seen or heard from her since.

There is something that has struck me as odd to say the least through all of this:If he was so in love with her and yet now he doesn't know where she is,why for God sake has he not tried to contact her family, ask if she has turned up,offer to help find her.

The photo on both his and her Bebo pages still shows the two of them arm in arm.

Their relationship was innapropriate to say the least, not just our view but that of the authorities.

Why would a boyfriend supply secret mobile phones so that calls could not be traced? Why would he make threats to her friends?
Why would he attempt to isolate her from friends and family?
In fact if you look at the warning signs from CROP (the coalition for the removal of pimping)it is like reading an extract from our diary, word for word, every single detail.
Not that I am saying that is what has happened, but so many coincidences.

Sammy will be 16 in 3 weeks time,it is of course possible that she has started a new life, turned her back on all those people who love and care for her.Given up her education that she has worked so hard at.Washed her hands of her loving brother she affectionately referred to as the dude.Walked away from her rabbit Silky who she loved so dearly.Broken her parents hearts.

Somehow I find that very hard to believe, not the loving caring girl who wanted to join the police force when she left school. The girl who was always polite and courteous, gentle and affectionate.

Perhaps one day we will find out the truth, until then our lives are in limbo. If Sammy doesn't turn up those questions will always be in our minds,so many people all over the world have contacted us,offered support and sympathy and yet the one person who can help us remains silent.
I would love to hear your thoughts, what you all think, perhaps other people are able to be more rational,my emotions are raw.

I am mourning for the girl I love, the girl who has been taken away from us,hoping that one day she will come home and yet knowing deep down that she may be lost forever.

Tuesday 28th - day 147Dark days

I have been thinking a lot today, not about the good days but the really scary ones before Sammy left.

The 17 hour phone call from *****,his suicide threats, allegations, threats to Sammy's friends.
It scares me to death to think how he changed a once happy, funny, intelligent girl into something that her family barely recognised.

We were told by the authorities at the end of March that Sammy was a suicide risk,God as parents don't they think we knew that.
How many times did I sit on the phone to Samaritans, parentline, social services.........and yet no-one could help.

I am sat here tonight in tears again,I tell myself that she is alive and well but I'm not very convincing, but then Tuesday's are always the darkest days.

21 Weeks today and still nothing,no evidence either way.
Is Sammy alive and well having fun,is she in danger being held somewhere against her will,or is it worst case scenario..................perhaps we will never know.

One thing is certain,I have failed as a parent, failed my daughter in the worst possible way.I was supposed to keep her safe, protect her from danger, nurture her into adulthood.

Do people stare at me because of all the media coverage, knowing what a useless parent I am,stupid enough to lose something so precious,or is it the dark rings under my eyes, the tell tale signs of months without sleep.

Friends no longer stop and chat, they don't know what to say.I feel guilty doing the normal things in life like shopping.People say life must go on,but it isn't life it's an existence, nothing really matters any more.

Sunday 26th August - day 145

Another week draws to an end, there are still no clues appart from the person now known as "Paul"

It's true to say Sammy could be anywhere, there is no guarantee she is in this country, there is no guarantee she is alive.

What I can't understand is that no-one has seen her,for God sake she can't have just vanished, someone knows where she is.

We have received so much support from complete strangers,I am reassured that people really do care.

I keep reading the warning signs from CROP (the coalition for the removal of pimps)its like reading an extract from our diary since "Paul" came on the scene.

"Paul" insists he doesn't know where Sammy is,he doesn't seem that bothered though, weird considering what has been said and done in the past.

To be honest I don't know what is worse, her being with him in a totally innapropriate relationship or some of the other scenarios that have been suggested.

What I can be sure of is that Sammy would never have walked out on her family and friends before HE messed with her mind.

Sammy I love you
Please come home

Asthmatic girl missing for weeks

A teenager missing from her Buckinghamshire home since early April may be in Bristol, police have said.

Samantha Osborn, 15, was last seen leaving her home in Bourtonville on 3 April, with a rucksack and a bag.

She is white, slim, 5ft 2in tall and has shoulder-length brown hair. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, a padded jacket and light trainers.

Samantha has asthma and her family are worried whether she has appropriate medication, said police.

The teenager also has a surgical scar above her left eyebrow.

When last seen she was wearing two rings, one on each hand.
