Our Purpose
Operation Find A Child was founded in 2007 as an online resource to help bring awareness to missing children cases and teach people how they can help. Our site uses a network of email lists and RSS feeds to bring out the information on missing child cases to the world by use of the internet.
It's now more important then ever before to help our children and to not let these cases disappear into the back of our minds. We will collect information from various sources on all new, current and unsolved cases and a comprehensive database will be held for each.
This will allow quick and easy cross-referencing of case information. We started this site after watching the case of Shawn Hornbeck and Ben Ownby unfold in MO in 2007. Watching the overwhelming joy and support from both families and the happy ending that can occur, it gives hope to other families around the world.
About Our New Desktop Application
The application will allow current live missing child data to be viewed for any State (also UK) on your desktop. The cases will be rotated for your chosen state. You may download full state's data to you hard disk for offline viewing.
View CURRENT LIVE information on missing kids around the world. Direct on your desktop while you work, surf, or for getting the message over to Others. Our New Desktop Application can be used both to gather information on Missing Children's cases and to print out missing child flyers/posters.Information currently supplied for the United Kingdom and for ALL States in the US.Ideal use would be at an event - say a fundraiser or the like - where the application is running continuously on a laptop - with either the info for a whole US state or the UK continously being displayed. You can also get people to use it -its quite user friendly - and people can then see just how many kids are missing and where etc. The info is LIVE - give or take 15 minutes - from the NCMEC/ICMEC databases. You can also download the infomation for a whole state/country onto your harddisk and use this info in "Offline-Mode". Offline Mode being useful when using the application where no internet connection is available - say at outdoor events. Please download, use and pass-on the Application to Others.

While not required, we encourge you to enter your name and email below to allow us to communicate with you about updates, events or urgent amber alerts.
